Spending time with yourself is okay.

Do you find spending time with yourself to be lonely? Don’t know where to start? I can help.

Spending time alone doesn’t have to be lonely. It can help you connect with who you are and give you time and/or space to breathe. I have put together a list of somethings that can be enjoyable even when you’re by yourself.

  • Try A New Recipe – Recipes can be found on many platforms like Google, Pinterest, TikTok, Lemon8, and more. The list of recipes are never ending from savory foods, to delicious desserts. There’s nothing like listening to music and creating something sweet.
  • Write Yourself A Love Letter – Writing to yourself about the things that make you who you are ca help in the moment or even at a later date when you’re feeling down. Take time to sit and write everything you love about yourself and remind yourself that you are amazing and that you’re only human.
  • Take A Nature Walk – If you love nature and you’re all about connecting with the world this is a great choice for you. Taking a walk can feel lonely if you’re just walking aimlessly, but try paying close attention to things and you won’t even realize that you’re alone. Take in the scenery. What do the clouds look like? Is the sun out? Can you hear any birds? Is there a squirrel staring at you? Focusing on all that is around you can decrease the feeling of loneliness.
  • Draw Something – You don’t have to be an artist to draw. You can draw anything from stick figures and cartoons to something realistic and real. Try hitting play on your favorite playlist and draw what you’re feeling, something for your wall, anything at all. Use your imagination.
  • Watch An All Time Fav – Is it cold outside or do you just feel like staying in? Snuggle up with your favorite snacks, drinks, and a cozy blanket to watch your favorite shows. Spend time enjoying your own smiles and laughter to remind yourself that you hold the key to your own happiness.
  • YOGA TIME – Try taking a reset day to meditate and stretch. Give your body a break whether it’s from school, work, or even just laying your bed. Help ease your Body, Mind, And Soul.
  • Keep A Journal – Did you have a diary when you were younger? Welllllll let’s do it again. You can log all your self dates in a journal you picked out yourself. Try writing what you did for your me time and how it made you feel. Did it help you reset? Were you happy? See anything cool?
  • Do It Yourself – Trying new DIYS can be fun because there’s so many to choose from. Create decor, a gift, thrifted clothes, things for the house, and much much more. Finding DIY projects can be very easy. Take a scroll on IG, TikTok, Pinterest, or even a quick search on Youtube and Google. Find something cute, cool, productive, or all of the above.
  • Gym Day – Take your date (You ofc ๐Ÿ™‚ ) to the gym. Checkout your progress or just get a good workout in while listening to your favorite playlist. Plusss te after gym showers feel so good. A warm shower following a productive gym day just leaves you feeling so refreshed and ready for a good nights sleep.
  • The Spa Of Your Dreams – Does school or work consume you and leave you feeling like you barely have time to care for yourself? Try having a cozy spa day. Take a nice bath with a book or just close your eyes and enjoy. Just relax and let the weight fall off your shoulders. It’s okay to take a day to just take care of yourself.
  • Play Video Games – Try playing a new game or even the same ones you’re used to. This is your time. Use it to do the things you enjoy, but can’t do much of all the time. (Yelling is like totally part of the game)

P.S self dates are for everyone ๐Ÿ™‚
